Wicked Tickets

Wicked is a famous musical that is based on a novel called "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West." The story actually takes place before the timeline of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz and is a perspective from the witches of the Land of Oz.

The story of Wicked is about Elphaba (Wicked Witch) and her difficulties with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Along with having much different personalities and values, they are both in love with the same man.
The musical, Wicked, began on Broadway 4 years ago on October 30, 2003. It was produced by Universal Pictures and directed by Joe Mangello. Some of the stars from the original Broadway production of Wicked include: Joel Gray (Wizard of Oz), Kristen Chenoweth (Glinda, the Good Witch) and Idina Menzal (Elphaba). The original production received mixed reviews, however, it has remained popular across the World and is in its fifth season. Theatres in Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Tokyo, Stugarrt and other North American cities are consistently packed for each and every show. Many have seen Wicked two to three times.
Each production of Wicked uses up to 200 costumes, 70 wigs and 179 different types of leather are used to trim costumes and hats. One thousand feet of steel cable is needed to restring the flying money's wings each year the show is on the road. Also, the wingspan of the Dragon in Wicked is the same as a Cessna 172. The book had 38 characters, but the production has only 8 main characters that are constantly changing costumes to keep the audience interested and in suspense.
